Fandom: BBC's Merlin Name: Arthur Pendragon Age: 19 Physical Appearance: Arthur is of average height, but he has great upper body strength. He has dark blue eyes, sandy blond hair, and pale skin. His facial expressions tend to be dramatic when amused or pleased with something or someone. Education: He had private lessons in reading, writing and maths, but was trained like any other knight in sword fighting and other methods of combat. Occupation: Crown Prince of Albion Significant Other: N/A Sexual Preference: Must marry and produce an heir. Otherwise indecisive. |
History: Arthur's mother died upon Arthur's birth. He grew up within the boundaries of Camelot under his father's strict rule, but despite all the rules swirling around him, Arthur loved and respected his father deeply. He wanted to be as good a king as Uther was when he took over, and emulated him at every opportunity. At a young age, he began to learn what it would take to be king, but found a greater thrill in sword fighting. He soon discovered he had more than moderate skill at handling a sword, a talent that was urged on by his own father. He became a knight in his early teen years, one of the very youngest, and it forced him to work that much harder at proving he was every bit as worthy to be one of them as anyone else. The defense of Camelot became Arthur's sole priority over anything else. Until Merlin arrived in Camelot with his idiotic grin and insubordination, no one had challenged Arthur's ideals or ways of thinking. But now, he can't get the idiot out of his head, and his mental ideas of what responsibility means.
